It began a lazy Saturday with very few real plans, but we did seven distinct things that I will now attempt to summarize, as we have reached the Mess Around on Our Laptops portion of the evening.

It is a SILLY word that makes no sense and makes me think of Teen Girl Squad: "I got jimmies." I THOUGHT IT WAS A MADE-UP WORD UNTIL RECENTLY.

I am in mourning for Hydrox. Kellogs brought them back last year for their 100th anniversary, but now they're gone again, probably forever. Oreos are soggy and too-sweet compared to the awesomeness of Hydrox.

When I was little my family ate a lot at a restaurant called Jimmy's and for dessert I would always get ice cream with jimmies, so I just assumed that this restaurant had invented jimmies and that's why they were called jimmies. Now I know that isn't true, but sometimes I forget and think it is, as happens with wrong impressions from childhood.

PS Your trip sounds fun! I've been reading the posts but not commenting. Apparently it takes the important topic of dessert to make me delurk.

There were not many hip places to eat in Needham,
I disagree with this statement as written. I believe you could fairly say, "There were not that many hip lunchy places to eat in Needham," but there are a good number of hip restaurants for dinner.

we took a brilliant photoseries involving me and the metal hand smrou realized was a coathook.
I wasn't the one who realized that. I just thought it was a weird random hand bolted to the wall.
