She looks absolutely adorable but I will be very put out if they make her use Received Pronunciation. Of course, Steven Moffat is Scottish, so it seems probable that she'll get to keep her own accent.
I was rooting for a man, just for a change of pace, but it's all good!
RP is the sort of posh English you hear on the BBC, generally. They made David Tennant use it instead of his natural accent (which, in my opinion, is something of a travesty since his real accent is just delightful).
I do feel a bit like they are younging the series down a bit, with both The Doctor and his companion looking as if they could be in high school. But as long as they stick with the dark humor and heart wrenching story lines, I think I'll be okay. Also add me to the list of people that hope she gets to use her real accent.
I sure am going to miss Tennant, though. *sniffle*

Of course, it could turn out that she's an absolutely dreadful actress as well. But I've got a good feeling about her.
Or, I just think she's cute and it's overshadowing everything.

Ooh, if she keeps her own accent, he's got to get her to say "murder" at some point, right?
