After a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad week, the weekend came to rescue me with LOTS AND LOTS OF MUSIC. Check it out.
(
Signal Flow: Experimental music made from chess games, suitcases, tree branches, fans, light bulbs, and even, on occasion, real instruments )

But then they also started chanting "Yo!" for no apparent reason, and it was odd.
This made me laugh really hard. I can just picture it. I'm not much for experimental music like that. I like some weird stuff, man.
Like I like stuff with '70s and '80s influences but not the actual music from those decades.
But there's some really great stuff from those decades! Dude.

It wasn't doing anything. But if you kicked it or picked it up and tilted it or turned it around, you would hear a sound. But coming from a room, not the suitcase itself.
This made me laugh really hard. I can just picture it.
It went from person to person, with one person going, "Yo!" And another person saying, "Yo!" And then someone following with a "Yooooooo!" It was strange.
But there's some really great stuff from those decades! Dude.
Some! I do like some of it! Just not as a rule.

Yes. Yes they are. I believe they are what people call a "buzz band," which to me seems like a self-fulfilling prophecy. "We have determined that this one band should be talked about more than others, and to that end, we will talk about them more than others, and we will tell people that they are THE new band of the year, and they will believe us."
I guess I'll have to youtube it at last.
Here are "A-Punk" and "M79."
I am disappointed the show you saw didn't have any theramins!
Ha! I know a bona fide theremin player, though! He was even in a White Castle commercial playing a theremin!

(And I'm not claiming musical superiority; I'm simply denying musical inferiority.)
