This post will make more sense and have more thematic resonance if you have read
the first post, which this was really supposed to be a part of. Think of it as a really, really long "Previously on

I don't really know. I just know it's sort of a politically contentious idea, and that's not my bag, baby.

That's good at least. Is it really considered "crossing the picket line" for an audience to watch Leno? If the show is going on without the writers, I'd think there are no scabs in the situation. I'm fully behind the writer's demands for residuals, but it seems like the WGA would acknowledge the rights of other people to work as well. (Not so much Leno himself, but the makeup/lighting/catering people, etc.) I realize that the WGA has a better position if the shows stop entirely, but I'd think the drop in quality would show the networks how important the writers are.

Well, you do have to physically do so. That's the point of the line, after all. I don't know whether that guy with the megaphone was WGA leadership or just outspoken, so I'm not sure what the WGA's stance on the audience is.

For the record, I also have a somewhat shameful secret enjoyment of Nickelback, and I also really like Linkin Park, and I have damn good taste in music, thank you very much!
