“I think things just got out of hand.”

That sums up the chapter. *grin*

I'm glad that Dean really did teach the kids something and that he and Sam came to some understanding about custodial work. Nice little aside about John.

Haha, yeah, I think that pretty much sums it up from here until the end. Glad the little commentary about John wasn't too out of place. One of the things I loved about season one was how we got these tiny snippets of backstory each episode that let us learn more and more about the characters. And there's still plenty of backstory to discover.

I don't get why you're not getting more comments. This is a great story. You do horror really well.
Two chapters to go? *pouts*

I'm glad my affinity for horror is translating well! And the fact that you asked why I'm not getting more comments is worth two comments in itself. Hopefully the next two chapters won't disappoint!

Hahaha, don't worry, more is coming! I agree, SN has so much potential for some great horror stories; there should be more out there. Hopefully you won't wear out the exclamation mark key after reading the next chapter...

I really like the revelation that John was once a janitor. Very interesting. Yikes, though, on Miss Carver having another victim.

Favorite lines:

“And… what? You wanna just give up, this one’s too hard, boo-hoo?”

Great dialogue.

he tried to distract his mind from both this new knowledge of their dad and the fact that Dean was going to Hell while they played high school dress up,

Very nicely phrased, with surprise and aching and humor all well represented.

Dean felt an odd mixture of pride and mystification.

He’d taught them something.

:)
