I knew it! Poor Audrey! Yeesh, playing Lady Macbeth and seeing ghosts? But I have to wonder why she is so set on perfection and being made of stone? A Concrete Angel, to use an old country song. . .

I see Dean has a reason to not like Halloween either. Scary times!

I don't know if you're going to really get an answer as to why she's like that... some people are just perfectionists, and want to be seen as perfect. Of course, if you're so driven that you'd rather cheat than fail, then you might get on the wrong side of a rules-crazed, homicial teacher.

Thanks for still reading! There's finally an end in sight!

Huh! so why is it *Sam* who hates Halloween, after all that? You'd think Dean would lock himself in a motel room and never come out! :D
And Mrs. Carver has already figured out he's a less than dedicated student (although a fine teacher)
HAve either of them told the other what they found out about good/bad students?
And why does Little Miss Perfect keep seeing ghosts? Does she have the wrong attitude or something? (And why no rumours flying about the bad luck of the Scottish play?)
Dying for the rest of the story-

Hah, yeah, Dean's quite good at denial, though, isn't he? But yes, both boys actually do hate the holiday. Sam's more vocal about it, though, and if I thought it would make the fic better, I'd add in little flashbacks of his own POV in past bad Halloweens.

They've been telling each other everything they've found out, but I figure that's a given and decided to leave that off-screen. But yeah, if one figured something out (like Dean with the UFO guy), the other one knows too.

Hopefully a little more insight into Miss Carver will explain her motivations more clearly. Or something. Thanks for still reading!

Nice flashback to the boys’ younger years, and poor Dean, almost killing that kid.

Favorite lines:

left in the empty classroom with several crooked rows of desks staring back at him.

Good detail.

When a shadow fell over her and the insides of her eyelids turned from warm orange to black,

Good detail here, too.

And handsome, but Audrey thought it was tacky to have a crush on a teacher, so she didn’t.

*g*

she had smiled pleasantly and said, “Thank you for coming. My house is haunted.”

I love her lack of segue and candor.

A flashlight, which was still switched on, lay on the ground beside him, spilling a shaft of light onto the grass.

Good detail.

Sam did, but not before grumbling sarcastically, “Why don’t you just use one of your illegal fake credit cards…”

Ow.
