Haha, well I do have a bit of a passion for angst, sorry about that. I think my next Amelia story is likely to be fluffy ;) Just so you know.

And as for the mystery of it. I really did want to make it feel like it could be either, because I love the idea of the daughter being the nurturer, sort of the way River nurtured Amy, Amelia was the one comforting Melody.

UGH him leaving Melody there must have been heart-breaking. And to know he was that close to giving Amy and Rory their child back but giving it up for his own, and for River. :'(

Shatters the soul, no? I suppose Amy will be added to his list of guilt, guilt, more guilt now.

And you do know the only reason that he managed it, was because River asked him too. They're both sacrificing. He's living with the knowledge that he's leaving the woman he loves - as a child - to suffer, for the sake of his own child. Only to be comforted by the fact that it ensured both River's and Amelia's existence. TIMEY-WIMEY MUCH?!

Oh, that's so beautiful! I knew the two girls were Melody and Amelia, and at one point, I thought he would save them both. But he couldn't. He couldn't save River because he promised her not to change a single thing.

So angsty and still so beautiful. Much love for this fic, darling!

You don't know how happy I was to discover, after finishing this, that there was more to this story. &hearts

I loved the reveal in this, and the idea of Amelia and River together as children. This whole series is so perfectly in character, I need this for the show!

And yeah, I liked playing on the idea of the child, comforting the mother, much the way River did in 'Time of Angels' with Amy.
