Re: Blaine talking to Burt, Burt and Kurt have "the Talk" - Was Blaine overstepping his bounds? It may have been an uncomfortable conversation, but no, I don't think he was. He was concerned for his friend who had some unexpected issues. (Who saw that coming? Not me.) Burt might have been embarrassed that this kid had to tell him what he needed to do for his son, but Blaine cared enough about Kurt to want to spare him from some very bad things in the future. And Burt's "talk" was pure love and power and honesty and I'm probably going to watch it over and over. His "You matter, Kurt. Don't throw yourself around." is one of the most powerful arguments for responsible sex I've ever heard. (And I loved that he used the line that fathers do for daughters - "When you're 30..." :) ) So, BURT HUMMELL RULES!!! He handled that incredibly well, calmly, thoughtfully, sensitively, and that boy now feels loved and understood in a way he didn't, oh, say, 2 weeks ago when he was accusing his father of treating him differently because he was gay. "laine talking to Burt, Burt and Kurt have "the Talk" - Was Blaine overstepping his bounds? It may have been an uncomfortable conversation, but no, I don't think he was. He was concerned for his friend who had some unexpected issues. "

That's a good point. I didn't think of that.

If Burt were in the show more I think I would say he is my favorite character. The things he does for Kurt are just absolutely amazing.

I loved that wait until you're 30 line. LOL It is what you would tell your teenage daughter.

Blaine doesn't bother me which makes me a pretty quiet person on Karosky_hummel journal. LOL I don't want anyone to attack me so I just sort of keep quiet. I don't LOVE Blaine, but I don't dislike him either. I like him well enough.

Do you think Burt will ever find out about Dave's kiss? I would love to see Burt's reaction, him going all ROAR! LOL

I just commented on this ep at my own LJ...and OMG I don't do Femmeslash...but these girls! I LOVE THEM. (LOL at Sam's comment to Artie about wishing they could be as close as their girlfriends. *snort*)

Blaine was WAY inappropriate with going to Burt, buuuuuuuut we all know he's got issues and I adored the scene anyway.

My only problem with Burt's discussion with Kurt was that it sounded very much like he was talking to a daughter (other than the references to "two guys"). It rubbed me wrong and I'm still trying to figure out why--almost like the "spreading yourself around" was automatically pigeon-holing Kurt as a bottom. *shrug* I can't put it into words effectively. Gah.

I liked how they were mixing the ep with the Karofsky storyline. You have the moment where Lauren wants to punch Puck but ends up kissing him Karofsky style. Then you have Santana who is kind of a female version of Karofsky who is dealing with the same anger and fear that Karofsky is. I am hoping that this means we get another Karofsky ep soon.
