Since the holiday season of 2003, I've been hearing The Christmas Shoes by NewSong playing on the radio at times every year. Due to the song being slow and not bangy, most of the lyrics are easy to make out.
I haven't listened to the song but I read the story and the lyrics and I'm crying right now.
I've lost my loved ones too, some to death, one just left home. Christmas this year would be different, I know. It would be much quieter and somber. Yet I also look forward to it because there are also people that I haven't seen for so long who would be there.
Plus, a friend of mine would be getting married so it's a joyous time too.

My reply: No. I lost one in November of 2008 and the other in January of 2009. So it's before and after Christmas.
