This is really amazing. I love the balance you have for Cupcake -- not completely a jerk, but, well, kind of a jerk. And surely he's entitled have an inner life that isn't terribly nice as much as anyone is, right? In so many words: I think the voice you have for him is spot on.

Also, the atmosphere of this fic is awesome, as is the first interaction between the two of them: thank you so much for starting this, and I hope there will be more!

Thank you for the brilliant prompt! I'm having such a great time exploring Cupcake's POV, and developing a bit of backstory for That Vulcan too.
