Re-reading the Bible as an adult is interesting. The humans within it are more flawed and prone to do goofy things than I remember. It doesn't seem to matter much if they are on Team Blessed or not.

It adds depth to the stories.

Bleaugh, why would you do that? That's been overwritten by the new. I mean, it's useful for teaching and such, but it's like ASKING to be turned off by the Bible again by starting in the old testament 0_o 95% of that is not applicable.

If it was really that non-applicable, why is it still attached?

I intend to read the whole thing this year. Every begat, weird law, every foible, every red letter. :)

The thing that I like when I read it is to see how much people and human nature has stayed pretty much the same...not the laws and rules of course but the people themselves...we think we are so different and advanced but yeah...people are people...
