A very nice look into the relationship of these two characters Spaz :) It was a little shocking that Vala liked the macaroons ;)

Heh, there've been so many moments where Vala's taken the opportunity to eat (ala Brad Pitt's character in "Ocean's Eleven")... I thought I'd give the macaroons to someone a bit more grateful. :P

Spaz, this is sooooo good! You drew so much out of their somewhat hidden relationship ... I think this is a great "what happens next" scene. Of course, the fact that they are really examining the whole issue of "mothers" makes me smile too. Love love love the macaroon bit! Vala is so in character for that ... and lucky Sam gets rid of the cookies :>)

Thanks ChopinGal. :D I hope the parallels between Sam and Vala are further addressed, either later this season or through fanfiction. And I'm actually interested to see what really happened to Vala's mom.
