She had expected to feel this way if she had spent too much time with Mildred. It was what Ethel had told her would happen. She had been a good girl, so that Mildred wouldn’t rub off on her, making her a worthless witch. She was supposed to feel happy now, right?
She might if recent events hadn’t revealed Ethel’s true colors. Sure Ethel came from a well-known and respected family, but that didn’t actually make her any better than Milderd. She hadn’t even known that she was being burned by her closest friend. She hated what she saw in the mirror. She had become nothing more than Ethel’s puppet.
