“Don’t you think the fresh air is nice, today?” Imogen Drill asked her colleague coyly as they climbed the mountain.
Imogen watched Miss Hardbroom as she huffed and puffed. It was obvious that Constance wasn’t used to travelling by foot. The two of them weren’t even to the half-way point and she was beat.
Constance examined the surrounding. It seemed like a decent spot to hold a lecture.
“This is fine,” Constance announced, as she leaned over and she caught her breath.
Imogen didn’t know why Constance had wanted to go on the hike, but she couldn’t pass up the opportunity to show Constance that there was more to life then witchcraft. In her opinion Constance always smothered herself in witchcraft.
“Let’s keep going,” Miss Drill said with a smile. “We need to keep up a good pace to get to top quickly so we can get back to Cackle’s before lunch.”
Constance’s face wore a stunned expression. Drill’s words and determination reminded her of herself. It was the last thing she had suspected, but she was glad that she discovered it.
