Long story, that PC is now a box of complete mess. I changed wires, cards, took some parts out to test and to troubleshoot the exact cause of that darn BSOD without much success. During that difficult period, the laptop came along and I conveniently closed up the CPU cover and "threw" that new PC aside.
(Very much like an analogy on relationships, the better one comes along and to hell with the one that's giving the chronic headache.)
Now that I am forced to look at it again, I wasn't able to continue from where I stopped back then, couldn't remember what I did to each part. Just wired it up last night, I got an immediate BSOD at bootup.
(Again same analogy, new relationship rather than trying to salvage the old problematic one, I gave up on it back then for a good reason.)
So now I'm testing out the imac or some random laptop and surviving on free internet at Fitness First.
