Double whammy

As a kid I used to love having my birthday in January. What I didn't get for Christmas I always asked for my birthday (not that I always got what I wanted - but it was worth a try). Now that I'm older it's another reminder to take a look at my life and what I've accomplished, or more specifically what I haven't. I just get over the post holiday

I get what you're saying about birthdays - everything seems to come at once. I've always liked having my birthday so close to Christmas, but maybe it's because it's just before?

Fingers crossed for a tax return! I have to pay my taxes at the end of this month. I'm hoping to get myself straight (as it were) in the spring.

My beard is very patchy on my cheeks, so I'm waiting to see if it will thicken up. It must be twelve or thirteen years since I grew a full beard, so I can't really remember what it was like (except that it's quite ginger and I look like Henry VIII...)

I hope you are able to move back to Atlanta soon.
