Disconcerting: adjective. Form of "disconcert."

1. Causing an emotional disturbance; upsetting the self-possession; ruffling.
2. Finding a tab open in Firefox that you don't remember opening, discovering a person on your AIM buddy list that you absolutely don't recognize, or hearing a song played out of your music library that you have never heard

Funny enough, just yesterday I went to Google and typed in: Define:Disconcerting to verify that it meant what I thought for a paper I was writing :)
