Well, there was a minor emergency this morning. My parents were here, so I slept at night, and was awake during the day, which is weird for me.

So there I am, sleeping. When I go to bed, Cadic is curled up next to me, purring.

When I wake up, he's not.

He not, in fact, in the apartment.

The first time Pekoe took off into the neighbourhood, I was terrified. He came back at 11 in the morning and slept all day. The second and third times were far less traumatic because I knew he'd come back. Now that he's been an inside/outside cat for the past few months, I'm nervous about the transition to a 580 square foot apartment on the 30th floor.

Glad you found him back, and I hope that the experience, which seemed to be traumatic for him, will maybe cut back on his curiousity of what's beyond the windows.
