Ok this is barely a review at all, but I wanted to justify the dp =P. Ah, good review here, with some great points, Nick! The chances of victims being called "Quarter Queen" and whatnot are slim to none. And slim's out of town. The names were...crap, tbh.
I also found the ending unfulfilling, I sorta forget the details but I remember not liking it much. An "asspull" sounds like an apt term for it, I should think.
Usually, I like a twist, but Another Note was a book where the predictable ending would have been preferable, overall.

Yeh, I mean, it's not hard to come up with arreasonable sounding alliterative name is it? Bill Bailey for example, Q is harder I'll grant you but still. :P I enjoy the references though like to capoiera stuff etc.
