Basically make any photograph online or in print where the viewer/finder can't locate the author... it turns it into public domain. IE if somebody swiped one of my photos from my LJ or Flickr and posted it somewhere else, and another person wanted to use it but couldn't identify me or locate me... they could use the photo however they wanted without any compensation to me.
