These kind of stories always make my heart ache, both for the boys and for the person who wants to help. And for the fact that there was no way out of this situation, given who they are...

Oooooh, pre-series Oustsider POV! Probably my favorite thing ever, and you pulled it off PERFECTLY. This is vivid and believable, from the beginning through the hours of waiting all the way to the end. She was so set on her plans, and then they just disappear out from under her... so real, and so sad, but probably for the best...

Poor Sarah Beckett. Poor Winchesters (all three of them). And like I said, I've been, to a less extreme degree, where Sarah's at, and to have kids "disappear from under you" is a horrible feeling. Blargh.

Wow, you know this happened a dozen times to the boys throughout the years! I'm a huge sucker for outsider POVs and even though I'm a 'Sam!girl' (if we're categorizing), I adore Dean being the big brother and Sam being the little smarty pants. This was softly heart-breaking. I'm glad you posted!

Can't you just see a lineup of concerned teachers, noticing these bright kids with so many secrets? Clever, audacious Sam and aggressive, withdrawn Dean? Ugh, I'm needlessly emotional today.
