Gorgeous. <3 I especially loved the descriptions of the cars at the beginning (what, I have a scenery/machinery fetish!), and Bobby's wry little insights, like John's typical helpfulness, etc. I loved the reversal at the end as well--something that isn't touched on in fic nearly enough. Thank you.

Oh my Goodness! I honestly gasped when i saw your comment in my inbox not only did someone answer one of my wishes but it was you. You wouldn't know it because i haven't said (shameful lurker that i am) but you're one of my favorite new authors. Seeing a new post from you over at hoodie-time always makes me smile. I'm going to read and leave a proper review as soon as i get off work.

its so nice to have something to look forward to after a drab day.

Thank you!

Ugh what a day. I'm on my way to bed and the only highlight of today has been your fic. I had to come back and say my real thanks. I have to say was perfect for me ( ... )

I'm so glad you enjoyed it! The condom scene was originally a lot awkwarder, with Dean being stand-offish about it, but I decided to emphasize the understanding Dean and Bobby has. Bobby doesn't judge poor Dean-o. :)

I am SO GLAD you liked it!

ETA: I hated pre-algebra as much as Dean did if not more, but we know he and Bobby both have engineering brains so hopefully he eventually fared better than I did.

I love this, especially the sections from 2002 and 2006. I love how insightful Bobby is into what Dean's issues are even though he doesn't always know what to do to help him.

I'm trying to decide who's more awesome - Bobby or you. It's a toss-up. Your psychological insights are spot-on, as always, and your pacing is excellent (which feels like a really dull thing to say, but it makes such a big difference, especially if you've got an attention span like mine). Plus, tooth-in-knuckle horror will never get old for me.

(Also, hiiiiiiii! I feel like I've been away for ages, and I'm just now stumbling back with a ten-foot beard. How's things?)

(Hiiiii you! Things are utterly crazy. I'm hunkering down with my tea and my Leonard Cohen and electing to devote my attention to fictional boys with demon problems.)

Thank you! I'm one of those violence freaks and tooth-in-knuckle is just too wonderfully horrible a detail to pass up. I'm so glad you liked this. :)

(Ugh, I'm sorry things are crazy. But thank God for tea. Having pretty much subsisted on nothing else for a month, I can say that it's the closest thing to a panacea I know of.)

Freakish violence is the best, as long as it's not happening inside anyone's mouth. *shudders over that one razor-blade scene in s4*

(*toasts you with tea*)

I'm gonna agree with you there, so maybe there's hope for our sanity yet (I rather doubt it).
