Little late for Halloween, but...

Done studying for tonight, so let's kick back with a little late night (midnight actually) drama. If you love horror movies, and can stand lots of blood and gore (and naked women!), you'll love GARO.

GARO tells the story of poor hapless Kaoru (this series "Damsel in distress") who gets kicked out by her landlord following one too many missed ( Read more... )

Totally agree!!!

I watching GARO every year since it was released (some years ago...)! :P
Don't know how many times I watched this Tokusatsu, but every time is great.

And yes... I watched GARO at night, and I can assure that scar you xD. Some episodes are quite "scary", but I can do nothing but recommend and love this Tokusatsu.

Did you watch the first episode?. So I don't leave you spioilers about the story (reserves some comments that had planned to do ^-^).

Enjoy GARO, because it's GREAT!!!!!! =)

Oh I've seen the whole series already. 3 times, in fact. xD So go ahead and spoil me. I want to remember everything that happened. It's been a while since my last viewing, after all. :)

Highly recommended to any Twilight/vampire/werewolf fans out there who may be reading this. (I should know, I converted a Twilight fan into a toku myself after showing her just this episode of GARO.) :D

About the spoiler, was not much, just wanted to say that all the Makai Kishi really have a particular personality and are excellent characters. In preference, Kouga, Rei and Dan; but I didn't wanted to say their name, in case you did'nt watched the entire series yet ^-^(just to not do spoilers with their names xD)

That's great!!! A Twilight fan into a Toku fan =D.
GARO is awesome, really n_~

Garo was something I stumbled across completely accidentally (like Fuuma No Kojirou), and absolutely adored it. It was really nice to see a more serious, adult horror-themed toku series.

And you weren't alone in the real life Seto Kaiba thing. XD

I love JAM Project, because Kageyama Hironobu is awesome. ^_^ But I also love the cast's version of the ending theme. LOVE.

I lurked on lots of forums like HJU and Rangerboard, and they kept recommending that toku noobs like me watch it. So I did. And I enjoyed it immensely. It's no tradition for me to watch GARO every October. :)

I've had a hankering to watch it again recently, which doesn't help me when I realize I'm about 3 discs away from finishing Gekiranger. XD

Wow, he does look a lot like Kaiba. Even the jacket is very similar. Although...I never knew that when he wasn't playing a children's card game, that he was fighting off scary things and posing elegantly under streams of light. Kaiba is a double-agent it seems.

On the topic of real-life Kaiba, I really do think he exists somewhere. Why, you ask? Probably because I'm crazy, but that's beside the point. Someone with such an abrasive personality and complex character must have been based on someone that the author knew. Or, that's my hope anyways.

Yeah, I agree. Kaiba IS a double agent, it seems. XD If you want to watch Double Agent Kaiba in action, you can download the series, all subtitled in English for your viewing pleasure, at TV Nihon here: http://tvnihon.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=171&t=8012

He acts just like Kaiba, fyi. He's rich, he's a snob, and there's a girl in the show, who, like Tea, keeps nagging him about how he needs to stop acting so stuck up all the time. :D XD
