So today in Visual Anthropology, we watched a movie about gorilla preservation in Africa. And honestly, it pissed me off. Natalie Portman was hosting, and she starts of talking about how ohmygosh EIGHT gorillas have been murdered in SIX MONTHS. You know, I gotta say that I agree with you. People seem to care more for animals then their fellow human, and it's sad. I guess because animals are "helpless" and your fellow human is just a lazy slob on welfare?

May I have a heaping dose of help for everyone, please and thank you?

I can't stand that some people just don't have basic empathy for others anymore :/ And Portman kept going on about how she couldn't believe that man would create such weapons and traps to "harm his fellow creatures." Um, Portman, correct me if I'm wrong, but you've acted in movies with those weapons as props, so stop hamming it up.

I also have less sympathy for them because I doubt they see it coming the way we do. I know gorillas are pretty smart compared to some animals, but they don't have to live in fear of not eating, of not getting bills paid, of not being able to go to the doctor.
