Hi, I'll be honest. I'm a little hurt and offended that you deleted me. I have told you that I don't write posts on LJ anymore, because all my friends have left LJ (they left 2-3 years ago) so there's nobody to post for. But I do come here and read your LJ. And I have asked you to keep in touch on FB but you don't post on there.
Can I ask you a personal question? I thought we were friends. But after we met in real life a couple of years ago, you became kinda distant. Did I say something to offend you? If I did, please tell me.
I deleted facebook several months ago. I think being friends is a two-way street. I don't want to share all this personal information about myself with people who don't do the same. That's part of the reason I deleted facebook. I was tired of being so open with my life---sharing links, thoughts and photos---but many of the "friends" I had listed had very "private" profiles and posted nothing. If you want to keep in touch with me, you can comment on my entries or email me. You haven't commented on my livejournal for a long time, and even your reply to this entry is more than a month after i posted it.
I didn't know that you had deleted your facebook account. And I wasn't ignoring you on purpose, if that's what you are trying to imply. I honestly never saw your links or your notes--did you tag me on your notes?
I will admit that I don't post private stuff on facebook, but I do post news links and music videos from YouTube. I'm inhibited on there, because most of the people on my facebook friends list are only acquaintances and I feel self-conscious about posting personal stuff on there.
I had added you on facebook because I was hoping to stay in touch with you. I had no idea that you felt ignored by me. I wish you had said something. You didn't comment on my links, so I assumed that you must be busy. I don't know your other friends, so I can't comment about them.
I'm sorry about not commenting on your LJ entries.
But you haven't been commenting on my facebook entries either for a LONG time. So I am not the only one who's doing the ignoring.
I do still like you. (Obviously, or I wouldn't be commenting here in the first place). I do want to be friends. So I will come by LJ every few weeks or so, if that's alright with you, to check in on you.
I wish you could still view my facebook, but you've deleted your account. I actually wanted to invite you to join a new facebook group about desis that I think is really cool. I wish that you had told me you were feeling this way earlier. If you had, I would have tried to rectify things.
