Edwardian toile (plus an unplanned piece of fun!)

For the "Edwardian" bridal sample that I am making (corset top and bell skirt), I decided to use the 1901 pattern from Norah Waugh's "Corsets & Crinolines" as my starting point. [This is an excellent book and I recommend everyone have a copy ( Read more... )

I've hemmed and hawed about making a stuffed dress form. She looks beautiful. It's very inspiring. Now if only I could get something successfully off my table to put a dress form on it. :D

Thanks. I've made a few dressforms now (using varying techniques) and they serve a purpose. But I can't seem to get them lovely and smooth so they only look good covered with something flowing!

What projects are you on with at the moment?
