Wow it shocks me I knew about something internet related before you :P. I discovered Hulu six or so months ago and yeah it definately upped my online time. And then I discovered ovguide.com which basically searches the entire internet so you can watch new movies and pretty much any show ever for free... really helps my insomnia and addiction to staying up until 4 of 5 am everyday... in fact I'm off to search for a movie to watch right now... and it's almost midnight already .... alas.
