because they're lazy, think they won't taste good, so don't buy them or bother to learn how to cook them properly. the recipe that this is 75% based off included NO vegetables and called for slices of American cheese on top. redneck much? lol

Nice tutorial ... Amusing. My belly is grumbling now. I'd love to cook at home more but it's so cheap eating at work and snacking elsewhere. Plus, constantly cooking for one can be a bitch. Well, visulize whirled peas and all that good stuff. TTYS!

well, if you noticed, i was cooking potatoes, ground beef and canned foods.... the entire thing cost less than $10 and it's several servings. just make enough for a week.

'amusing'... is that the master chef's idea of being condescending? :p

No no, that was absolutely not intended to be condescending. I'm not an actual asshole like some of the more well known master chefs. Remember, my tummy is grumbling, and I mean it made me hungry. I thought your commentary between photos was amusing. You'd be suprised how many people can't cook for themselves, let alone a lucky man and his dog.

I had shepherds pie last night! My mum used to make it all the time when I was growing up. By the way shepherds pie is made with lamb, hence the 'shepherd'. However, I make it with soya mince, so who cares?! I also don't mix the potato with the rest of the mix, i layer it on the top and sprinkle with cheese. But that is the art of cooking, we all do it differently!
