I am not going to be posting one of those "United States of Jesusland" maps. Nor reposting the e-mail I just got advocating "American Coastopia" in which the east and west coasts band together and secede, annexing Illinois and Iowa for the museums and the produce. thanks. people can be angry all they want, and i am all for blowing off steam for this great national tragedy, but it's important to remember that for many reasons (for one, consolidation of media and resulting difficulty of getting good diverse news sources in some parts of the country), the bushies' message of BE AFRAID OF TERRORISTS is really unmitigated for a lot of people.

when i go home for christmas i will take a picture to post of the billboard sized terror alert sign that stands in an empty field in this piddling little chicago suburb near my family.

Just because I am in NYC at the moment doesn't mean I don't entertain thoughts of flight and when I do, it's to places like Montana, not Scandinavia. :)

My goodness...like the poster above said...posts like this make me both angry but yet keep me sane at the same time. It's hard to believe that over 2 million people can be so hateful/idiotic.
