You place trust in the NYPD to protect your kids, that's a huge step, and they fuck it up from the start. Let's see, oh there are white gang members and oh there are kids of color, lets go after the kids of color. It's easier, they don't live here and I bet they ain't middle class nor have any clout or good parents who will complain.
They are also getting kick backs from the SBB's I bet.
I love that this innocent group of "friends" have taken on the name of one of the oldest "Greaser Italian gang" names from the 50's. I wonder how many of their parents were in the SBB of old and who they work for now.

I find the idea that one would need "pull" in the "neighborhood" to get a bunch of known gang members to be pursued by the police a little disturbing.
Reminds me so much of Rhode Island (I'm looking at you, Providence) it ain't even funny.
