Currently, Wrestlemania is (performing?) occurring in the town in which my brother teaches. A man named Hassan was just stepping on the head of a French-Canadian named Benoit, after delivering an impassioned speech about anti-Arab prejudice. I have often thought a great project would be looking at Wrestlemania since that IS middle America and looking at it's storylines to inform us about the concerns, etc.

Were it not so late, I would say that more brilliantly.

It reminds me a bit of that book Freaks Talk Back about Jerry Springer and other sensationalist talk shows. Pure Id, but mediated to be as spectacular as possible.

Well at least I now know how I missed this entry - I was in Germany at the time!

The FAQ sort of read like a kink primer, didn't it? "If you play at something, it doesn't mean you would want to do it in real life." I should write to them and congratulate them on being so clearly open-minded about sexual expression. Maybe even encourage the Holy Paintballers to attend the next Folsom!
