On going holiday thingy

And yes, ongoing. See the thing is there’s a lot of family social stuff this time of year for us and it tends to bleed over a lot more into less a few days of holidays so much as a couple of weeks. And when we get a day spare it becomes more a case of “we’re alone! ALONE!!!!” and not wanting to do anything else. Except the damn neighbour ( Read more... )

There must be about a thousand recipes for mussel soup or chowder. I make things up as I go on (but they're always damn tasty) so I don't have one for you but...chowder would be ON if I had those mussels.

Wait a minute, is this an English slang thing I'm missing? :D

the problem is that mussel shells have such a lot of flavour for the stock. I ended up gratin-ing them. You can't go wrong with cheese

It needn't be bankruptcy! I know for a fact that steam is giving away games for acheivements, or has been through the holidays. One of my SO's won a copy of Portal 2 that way.

I also have a lot of mussel meat. Not mussels in the shells, just mussel meat. Need to decide what to do with them

Combine with tuna, anchovies et al. and make a seafood pizza?
