In Georgia 2 marines have been arrested for beating a gay man in Savannah. The victim is still in hospital after suffering 2 seizures during the attack. But but of course

They have been charged with… a misdemeanour. But it’s possible federal hate crimes charges may be brought since Georgia has no hate crime law.

Of course the attack was justified ( Read more... )

Sometimes something arises that surprises me - the buried alive got me last time. Bitten is really boggling. Especially considering the fear of gay blood out there (I've actually seen hate crimes reduced by gay men yelling "I have AIDS" not exactly a long term empowering tactic, but it stopped someone being pulped)

I feel like I say this pretty much every post you make, but this is so overwhelming I just want to cry.

Seriously. Is there anything that could possibly be done? Because right now I just want to curl up and forget the world exists.

But, back to the soldiers. How can gays be allowed in the military? Don’t you know that gay sex is… TERRORISM!

*facepalm*

Ugh! I despise certain portions of humanity sometimes, other times I pity them for their ignorance at the same time.

The same mix I have - pity (for some at least) while at the same time wanting to strangle them

Of course the attack was justified because it’s alleged the victim *gasp* WINKED AT THEM! WINKING people! Why, in such circumstances why wouldn’t you beat someone into unconsciousness and leave them with bruises on their brain and needing CPR from their friends?!

I just wonder how many times these thugs have winked at women over the course of their lives. But of course, it's not harrassment when it's heterosexual men doing it, it's flattery! That's even if he winked at all. I'm sure their comrades are just THRILLED to have these trigger happy morons armed and serving next to them.

So, gay men are "limp-wristed", weak, foppish...savages who committed the most brutal acts of war. Right. Bigots could at least make up their minds.

Whenever I hear the gay panic defence I have a sudden urge to run around a lot of straight bars and hand out weapons to the women inside "any man comes on to you and you don't like it, you get to kill them!"

Apparently we minced into battle and then fabulously slaughtered everyone
