Apparently, on average, straight women with gay male friends have a better body image than straight women without gay male friends. Odd how these things work.

See? This is a good way to report on this little news snippet.

I guess I'm totally strange then. I think you're a damn good friend to have because you're smart, funny and you and Beloved have a relationship that sets a wonderful example to follow.

I never could accessorize properly anyway.

This makes a lot of sense. I have a number of gay and bi friends (both sexes); along with friends and acquaintances who have a rich variety of relationship styles such as poly. As a result I (straight, white female that I am) also feel accepted for who I am rather than what I am; which gives me better self image and more confidence.

I also don't suffer people making nasty comments about the people that I love. It makes me the very devil in training courses that involve equality ... ;-)

aye there's a completely invisible causation there. Could it not be that more grounded women are less prejudice? Those less susceptible to popular culture may not have as much homophobia
