On Minor Successes

I work, as you may know, at an independent coffee shop. There have been... issues... in the past about getting things fixed, or replaced, or what have you. To name a few: backsplash, bean grinder, lamp, other bean grinder, leaky faucet, broken ceiling tile, air conditioning, freezers... you get the idea. YAY FOR BLINDS AND FLOOR MATS! I know it sounds silly, but I also know how exciting that can be. The restaurant I work at desperately needs a makeover (the building is about 25 years old and not much has been done for it) and my manager/corporate are kind of horrible about actually fixing anything. They just do cheap, quick fixes that don't last and look tacky. So. I know how exciting it can be when your workplace actually gets something that it needs. I'm really happy for you that the new manager is good about that.

I'm guessing you've probably worked on the project by now, but if not I'm always here to procrastinate with! lol
