Okay, so I read something today that had me shut my comp down and just shudder there for a a few minutes. I called a friend to calm me down, and we struck a lengthy discussion but didn't quite manage to come out on the same page there. And I kept wondering, so maybe you an tell me what YOU think, dear flisters ( Read more... )

Oh, so many answers.

Men are easiest: ok to have hair on face, legs, arms, stomach and, I guess, back. I've dealt with it :P Hair around genitals is essential - I've dealt with a guy who was shaved bald and CHRIST was that ever freaky.

Woman: My only requirement is that it's not excessive. and that means different things in different areas. for example, more hair is ok underarm than is on legs, than is on face. With regard to more intimate areas, I can go with anything from totally bald to au naturel, as long as the latter doesn't mean I'm going to get brillo'd ears, know what I mean? there's a limit. I don't want to have to spend 15 minutes untangling before I get started. same goes for bumholes too ;) (though I've never come accross a brillo bum yet, mercifully.)

It's all pretty ok for me really. But if you asked me for my biggest no-no, it's genitally / all over shaved men. Just...*shudders* ugh.

*yes, I just wanted to say it again. Sue me! :D

I think if you lived here they'd lynch you for blasphemy or something :/ To claim body hair is okay! :ironic: But I def want to go and live in the UK. We have this huge hype here to be as hairless as humanly possible EVERYWHERE. Half the girls I know wax even their arms if you can imagine that. And because it's spreadind among the men too, a man who is 20-30 is more likely to be shaved down there. And other places too.

really! That's so sad. I know about girls waxing their arms and stuff, but the thought of a guy being shaved "down there and other places too" as you so delicately put it...blegh, no.

I'm not thrilled, either! 1st - well, I like men who are, you know, manly. This includes the fact he's bigger, stronger, smells like a man, etc AND had body hair. Not to mention their hair is coarse enough to really scratch and chafe when shaved. :grumpy: 2nd - hello, I have better and more pleasant thing to do with my life than watch the girls around me display satiny skin and wonder if I'm a freak or something for not being obsessed with it. Talk about pointless peer pressure...

As a straight woman?

Anything on a man is generally okay except facial hair. No unibrows. Prefer no excessive back hair. If the word fur springs to mind, yick. No shaved genitals or legs. No constant waxing or major grooming--if he spends more time on it than I do, I'm generally turned off.

On women--no real armpit hair (stubble is marginally ok, if it's not too long) or dark leg hair. No facial hair. Anything you want on genitals, as long as it doesn't show when you wear a bathing suit.

I thought that no one in fanfic had any body hair whatsoever, though :) Isn't that rule?

Well, yes, in the general sense that no one ever mentions it. 'cept for the happy trail winding temptingly between jutting hipbones, that is ;) But THAT is always fun to read.

I dunno, I am generally repelled by guys who wax it all off. Like, it forces the other party to take great pains to downright compete, because, come on, how bad it must be to have your man smoother than you are? not to add the fact it's not manly at all! In my age group here there's this huge peer pressure for women to be perfectly smooth everywhere, god forbid you are actually a human being with a hair somewhere, even the forearms stuff, and it's spreading among the men, and it's rather horrible. :doesn't like it: I actually realised it's not the same hype everywhere when I visited Germany, and girls my age were rather refreshingly normal about it. :/

Hm.... On A Man.... I like the normal hair. Leg hair... underarm hair, but not excessive. I'd like for a man to like, trim his armpit hair, and his hair down there. Trim it, shape it up--I don't like extra bushy stuff. One of my exes shaved everything away, it was okay I guess... at least down there... for me.

On females? Underarm air stubble is okay, as is leg stubble. Genitals? Um... normally... trimmed and shaped up. It can be all gone, but lawd not all over the place please.

The only hair I really dislike on a man is the back, which is, let's face it Not Fun. :) But otherwise men are great when they are manly, with all the manly stuff of trip hips, wide shoulders and body hair. :g:

For me? I have no problem with hair on my guys, as long as it's tidy. Mind, I do not like guys with what amounts to fur on their backs, asses, and fronts. While having the groin shaved is tidier and easier for oral sex, it just looks weird. As long as the pubes are trimmed, or, well, at least not looking like they need a weed whacker to tame 'em, I'm good. Though, shaved skin is generally considerably more sensitive, so there's that. I Greatly Approve of men with scruff, or thicker facial hair as long as they have two distinct and somewhat tidy eyebrows - love scraping my chin and cheeks and neck on scruff, and scritching guys who have beards. It's a quirk ;)

As for women, I'm not picky about their legs (I can't be a pain about it, since that'd be hypocritical - I rarely shave my legs unless I'm planning on wearing a skirt that doesn't hit my ankles). As long as their pubic hair (if they have any) is trimmed and tidy, I'm good, though, once again, freshly-shaved skin is awesomely sensitive. No facial hair except for tidy eyebrows, ( ... )

I think I agree with everyone else on the men... hair is a good thing, as long as it's not like trying to make your way through a jungle. :) I'd prefer a bit of hair to overall smooth, though I'm really not a fan of chest or back hair. -__-;; Facial hair depends on the guy. ;)

On women (as a straight woman).. it drives me nuts that EVERYONE must shave their legs ALL the time... I only shave my legs when I'm wearing something that will show them; the same goes for armpits - if it isn't gonna show, don't bother with shaving it.

Arms (lower) are okay haired unless it completely catches your attention... like super-dark hairs on super-light skin. As for the below.. Brazillian waxing? Ouch. ><; As long as it's neat 'down there', I don't think it should really matter.

Facial hair on a woman, eyebrows aside, really isn't a good thing unless it's so fine and pale you can't really see it unless you're two inches away. >>
