Two Balconies
By: Chris4Short
Rating: PG
Genre: ANGST
Prompt: "The Mystery of Pain" by Emily Dickinson as given by luxuria_oceanus oh so long ago
Summery: Two balconies. Two hearts. Nether knows they are both thinking of each other.
A/N: I had started this and then my muse had slipped far, far away... so when I was looking for a fic to doodle on, and saw this, I deleted the crap I had put down and this spilled forth. I think my muse is back... now if I can get her to give more Sparky. :D

The balconies were empty, save two souls; nether knowing the other was there… for the best and the worst.

She had brushed past him, tears spilling over. He had tried to say some word that would make her pain ease. A break could do them good, too close, too fast and their relationship could affect all of those who were under their command. She had even agreed, until the night she needed him the most. He had broken her heart, shattered.

The balconies were empty, save two souls; nether knowing the other was there… for the best and the worst.
