Without lyrics, I'd suggest Still in the Dark or Walk in the Dusk, both part of the Guilty Gear soundtracks. There are multiple versions out, but personal favorites are the hard rock ones, by Arc System Works. In the album, however, the former may be not be solemn enough because of the guitar solo while the latter might be too light, because its a piano piece. Works well for someone's defeat and the road to redemption and whatnot. Thus, take a look at the different versions and take your pick.

As for with lyrics... well, I don't even want to touch my Japanese songs folder. At least four gbs. Sorry?
