It certainly wasn't uncalled for. I know exactly how you feel. I'm tired of being judged for my weird behavior. i think i wouldn't be half as pissy about it if it were just OKAY for people to be themselves.
like, okay, i get it, some people ARE actually the khaki people, that's cool. but why does that have to be called "normal" ? the second you start throwing words like that out, other types of people are left out. who the fuck cares if you like stuff the the red paintings and tatoos and piercings and you're not "christian" (these are all just majoy examples). like, why are those thingd not acceptable? seriously....it's bull shit is what it is.
Exactly. I hate having to live up to standards, and not just parents, but everyone else, too. Things like that aren't acceptable because people are afraid of them. Because they're seen as spontaneous and random, and not safe or what was expected. I think we need to start or find an angry girl community on LJ. Or somewhere. A place for freaks like us.
