'Adelaide' clearly means 'fluff' in this case. Um."I wish I could marry you," Bill says one day. It's a Saturday, some time after breakfast (a few errant crumbs still crunch in the bedclothes if one of them moves), and it's as though Byron's bedroom is their own separate, still world, kept apart from everything and everyone else by something more than bricks and mortar. The bed is warm and safe and Bill's so comfortable with his head resting on Byron's chest, legs tangled in sheets with Byron's own, that he mumbles the words against Byron's skin without thinking about what it is he's saying ( ... )

Well, Adelaide was the character who kept wanting to get married in "Guys and Dolls" (see Adelaide's Lament) so I'm sure that's what you had in mind. ;)

Bill and Byron are such sweeties and there can never be enough of them. And the crumbs and lines about preserves were very nice (delicious?) touches.

Great, now I want to write a ficlet about Nelson and Byron fighting over the bouquet at Sally's wedding. XD
