Rules of the meme:

1. Anonymously post a pairing and prompt you would like to see written. Since this is a kink meme, there is supposted to be a kink involved, but normal well-written prompts should work just as well.

OP wants angsty break up--OT3s, D/R, D/L, N/HJ, anything. I want either love failing or just fading, bitterness on at least one side, and NO happy ending. Because sometimes love doesn't conquer all. Sometimes it just isn't enough.

Make me cry, anon.

I don't know what has possessed me to 'burn my ship' like this. I guess I'm just feeling masochistic at the moment ( ... )

You know, they're my ship too but I love seeing new twists and this is a great on, very in keeping with Dan's insecurities. You've got a great start here, so burn, baby, burn.

Reading this is like watching a very well-muscled man pull back his fist in preparation for punching me in the face. I need the next part. Maybe not to feel better, but for it to come so I can start to recover.

Because it will be devastating in the best of ways.

... I hope for the next part soon, but please keep the story short. Just like 4 entries or less... (how dare i to try to control the creative act of another anon? I´m evil evil ;_;) Please excuse me all for a second now... *runs out crying* NOOOOOoooooooo!!!!!!! *falls on knees and wimpers*

I think it might be a little longer than that, but don't worry. This is like the destruction of my 'happy place', I really don't think I could stand to write more than 6-8 parts, and I already have it pretty much mapped out as such. I'm going to be in serious need of happy fluff when I finish this one...

Dan is awake by seven-thirty. He pries himself out from their tangled limbs and peels the blankets aside. They readjust and squirm closer together in the absence of his body, squinting and groaning in the early morning sun. Dan haphazardly replaces the covers over their curled forms, and moves to address the room ( ... )

Yes! Way to go with the way you introduced Leslie, and what a perfect way of expressing Dan's dissatisfaction than through a liaison (or two) with her :)

I like OT3 too, but this fic is a great antidote to some of the utopian stuff that is pulled through that. And poor Dan--it figures that the most accommodating one will get the shit work, as much as Walter and Laurie in fanon are often portrayed as capable of generosity, I can easily see them as unthinkingly letting Dan do the lion's share. Dan's rebellion is also very much canon, IMO--the guy wasn't an endless doormat, as much as we have fun with it (and hope we continue to have fun).

And, yeah, for this anon, the idea of sharing bed space with TWO other people makes me want to run screaming... at some point, I'd want to SLEEP.

I wanted to make a prompt like this, where Dan gets fed up and leaves Walter and Laurie. One of the things that irked me in a few OT3 stories is that Walter and Laurie seem to connect on some deep level of understanding(usually concerning the cruelties of human nature) that Dan couldn't really be apart of because he was too optimistic and doormatish. In my head, something like this is sort of revenge for that.
The way you put it, if Dan left Laurie and Walter by themselves, they would turn into one of the trailer trash type couples, always yelling at each other, living in a filthy house, doing nothing but sleeping or having sex. But a part of me is really scared that they won't even care if Dan leaves! D:

Oh man, I post a prompt then entirely missed getting filled? Lame self, very lame.

That said, THANK YOU. :D I really really wanted to see someone take on this prompt. And oh, you even took the OT3 one that I really wanted as well! But, oh no, Leslie! This will only end in tears. Which is exactly what I asked for.

Thanks anon!

you're welcome! I hope it delivers the tears you want, because its so very painful to write! ;_; lol. I promise you, I have a positively devastating ending planned! It's funny how a tragic AU is actually "easier" to write for your own ship. When I went to tackle it I purposely chose the ship that means the most to me, because I found it easier to picture the most heartbreaking way to do this when dealing with a couple(or 3-some in this case) that is very dear to me.

“There is nothing wrong with this. I deserve time to myself. I deserve my own friends. Just because they don’t have any doesn’t mean that I can’t, and I do everything for them. I deserve this,” Dan reasons with himself on his way to Leslie’s apartment ( ... )

“Where the Hell were you last night, Dan?!” Laurie screeches when he returns home the following morning. Her face is red and blotchy, streaked with tears, and it is plainly obvious that she has not slept ( ... )
