Looks great! I loved taking textiles GCSE at school - it was the only grade I felt I'd really earned! We also learned how to make a pattern by tracing around an existing garment and then adding seam allowance to it, but that is pretty tricky, not sure I could do that again without supervision. Well, certainly not for a 50's style prom dress, that was my main coursework piece; a flat-fronted pair of troussers might be ok. The tricky bit is if the garment is not flat when it's laid out.

Anyway, really good job, looking forward to seeing you make others. It's something I intend to pick up again at some point, honest Gov!

50s prom dress! Wow. That must have taught you a million skills!

The hardest part for me was figuring out how to pin a hem on such a curved skirt. After a couple (feels like five, but probably wasn't) of weeks, spending 3 lessons per week plus several lunchtimes attempting it, I asked my mum to 'help', ie, get it started so I could follow her example, and she had the whole thing done whilst I was out one Sunday afternoon! Still don't know how she did it
