So my sister's birthday is this Thursday. My family decided to randomly go to my grandparents on her birthday. Which I guess isn't as random as it feels, since we usually do that every birthday, but, uh, still.  In general, I have no problem with that. I like birthdays, I like going to my grandparents'...

Ooo. That is a conflict! Can you talk to your sister about it, maybe arrange to do something with her another time? Your family should understand that doing the sound, especially on your own when it's entirely your responsibility, is important to you.

I'm pretty sure she'll understand, yeah... it's more that I'm worried my parents will insist I cancel the previous plans because it's a birthday / grandparents. Which ordinarily (if I were doing anything other than sound!) would be fine with me. But this time? Of all times? Really?

So far no one's said anything about it, which is actually more distressing than if they had because if they tell me to cancel last minute, I literally can't, because no one will be able to replace me. So, uh, still stressful.

Then again I do apparently stress for no valid reason except that I'd rather worry too much than not enough... It might turn out perfectly fine! xD
