This film was one that broke my usual dislike for "Christian" films. The story had heart, mind, soul, and faith, and it wasn't afraid to show it, but it wasn't preachy, either. Thanks for sharing these quotes, I'd forgotten some of them. :)
Yes- Christian films are getting better and better. It's still going to take some time before there are more Amazing Grace and Fireproof type of films (films that can compete with standardized Hollywood films) but the artistic quality is progressing as more Christians are getting involved in taking advantage of this medium. (As you can tell, having Christians get involved in media is a really big deal for me, and, I believe, one of my own life callings) People are realizing that they need to make films that don't offend God, but do glorify Him. A film like Amazing Grace can be appreciated by either a Christian or a non-Christian, in my opinion. I thought the script was well-written, and the movie well-cast.
