[This morning there's something notably different about the drone. Namely new hair, an entirely new body shape and a new face. One her new "husband" may find startlingly familiar as she rolls over.

How could he ever forget his old girl?]

Walking right back out.]

[Yup, you are not drone mom, and you are a person who licks things to find out what they are, he has too many of these in his life. Too many.

Just waiting around to see if she'll leave so he can go get some orange juice...]

[Never enough people who lick things.

And nope, she's not going anywhere. She's just sort of puttering around the kitchen, checking out other things but at least she's stopped licking things...for now.]

[Silly Time Lord and his sleep noises. He's going to wake her and no one in the universe is quite sure what happens when you wake a sleeping TARDIS.]

[well he won't notice because he's sleeping like a log.

and maybe whacking her in the face with his hand.]

[Rude!

That's enough to jostle her into consciousness and send her sitting straight up in bed. This isn't right. This is half a universe, three planets and one peninsula away from right. She should be back in her box. Not back in this human body that died and disintegrated.

It takes her a minute to notice her bedmate and, as one should do, poke him in the back to wake him up.]

Doctor?

[She's a space ship, not a chef.]

I'm well aware of that. I've never had the chance to interact with one of these before though and this is how my idiot often investigates.

[investigate + licking things = only one answer]

You know Terezi? Whooooa, are you blind too? [just ignoring the idiot part and assuming she is like Karkat and uses insults as pet names]

[Well she does use pet names...mostly because she can't be bothered to remember most of the strays names.]

My eyesight is in fine working order. [She sets down the toaster and approaches Gamzee, curiously circling him.] And I can't recall anyone named 'Terezi'.

[She's trying to put all this together. Some is apparent enough, but there are details that just don't add up]

That sounds like the same Doctor... He's never mentioned a companion named Sexy... even if Jack tried sometimes...

[She was not expecting this. But if it isn't the most pleasant surprise she's come across since getting shoved into a squishy human body!]

Oh Jack. He was one of my personal favorites when it came to my thief's strays. Right along with you, Sarah Jane Smith.

I'm... afraid you have me at a disadvantage. Our timelines must be out of sync.

[Some people might actually consider this strange instead of immediately coming to that conclusion.]

Of course. You're long gone by the time this happens. [She sounds more than a little sad at that.] But you and I are old acquaintances.
