what do you expect? we're all raised to expect a reward for what we do. why else do most of us work? to make money to stuff our faces. you on the other hand are more respectable and try to make a difference for our future leaders. I on the other hand will use up taxpayer money blowing shit up and sending lead down range.

I always hated participating in class...I think the environment needs to be more conducive to participation. Personally, I just didn't like speaking to the whole class. Maybe you could try breaking the kids down into groups and have group representatives talk.
