too many bananas

You know what my biggest problem with college is? Most of the kids are straight out of high school. I never really liked high school and after four years of university, it makes me feel like I'm going backwards. I know the ultimate reason for going to college is to get the hands-on experience and forming the connections I'll need to get a career, ( Read more... )

Oh god, I don't want to know what the answer was to the Trudeau question.

There wasn't really an answer to that one, but sadly, the professor felt the need to answer it anyway. I figured it was a basic element of grade ten history (we had a whole UNIT on the Quiet Revolution), but apparently, that has gone by the wayside. The worst part was when that same professor asked the class if everyone knew who Tommy Douglas was and a lot of people yelled out "NO". I mean, it's kind of a thing we should know as Canadians. Augh!

NOW I HAVE HAD SIX BANANAS AHH

In Canada, college is (possibly?) the equivalent of community college in the United States. It's kind of a more "hands on" type of schooling and is less focused on the academic side of things. I went to university for four years but, because it's so academic, I found that my degree wasn't really helping me get a job, so I've decided to go to college for Journalism in order to get the hands-on experience I need to actually get a job. These days, it seems like employers want you to have both university and college experience, so if this doesn't help me get a job, I don't know what will. :\

Ohh, so THAT'S the difference.

As a Quebecer, this made no sense to me until 5 seconds ago.

Why would a banana grab another banana? (I couldn't resist continuing the string of Arrested Development quotes.)

Looking eagerly forward to your hourlies! I love the ones you did for 'make an hourly comic' day or whatever it was called. Also all your other comics!

Hopefully the wedding will be good times, I am just kind of weary over how much it costs. :/

I hear the Lost season 3 finale is a humdinger. Can't wait.

Aww buddy, you are a primary motivation for my doing the hourlies. Normally I'd do them and not show anyone, convinced that they're dumb.

It is going to be quite expensive (moreso for you than for me, I guess, considering you have to rent a snazzy tux), but hopefully it'll be a grand ol' adventure. I am excited about it! Lisa's first wedding

ohh man it's gonna be upsetting isn't it
