Saturday night's ghost tour at Fort George was good fun. I didn't experience anything supernatural (only an unfortunately timed coughing fit and Alex's friend poking me in the arm with an umbrella while we were in the tunnel of the fort ( Read more... )

Wow, the pumpkin looks amazing. O___O My parents gave up and bought a plastic pumpkin with some generic design already "cut out".

Good luck with the exam and essay and such! ♥

Ahaha, thanks! I'm sure my parents will give up on the whole pumpkin carving thing once I've left home and Alex is too old for it. That will be a sad day indeed. :(

Thank you! ♥

You know what I really suck at?

CARVING PUMPKINS.

You know what you're good at?

CARVING PUMPKINS.

Aww, THANK YOU. ♥ I try way too hard when it comes to pumpkin carving, haha. Last year's Jack Skellington pumpkin probably turned out better than this one. :\

That's the one. One time I tried doing a Jack Skellington pumpkin, but I always got confused over what to cut out and what to leave in. Darn brain.

Oh well! Least I got candy. :D

Yeah, complicated designs are always tricky because of the risk of cutting too much out and accidentally losing any connecting bits.

Yay! Candy is probably the best part of Halloween. :D

Yours looks fantastic! I was supposed to carve my pumpkin two weeks ago, but stuff happened and such. Mine's the biggest, most ugliest pumpkin you've ever seen.

Anyway, the ghost tour was great!

And I can't remember if I've told you or not, but I think we've gonna pick you up at 6:00 if that's alright?

Thank you! I was lazy and I left my pumpkin carving until the last possible minute. Also, I didn't want it to start rotting too early. I'm sure your pumpkin is very hot, though.

6:00pm is awesome. :D Your mum called them/got a confirmation email, then?

No. Still no email (we've duplicated the reservation and emailed them and phoned like a billion times). Their voicemail is "full" (probably all ppl w/ the same problem). We don't really know what to do, so we're going to go anyway and if there's an issue or whatever then we'll make our own party I guess.

Oh, well, that's still cool. I'm sure we'll find something to do. I mean, it's Halloween, srzly.

That is AWESOME. Bleah, our pumpkins turned into mush before we got around to finishing the carving process. *Fail*

Oh, our poor imploding pumpkin. :(

:( Those don't sound like very good quality pumpkins.

They really, really weren't. Mind you, it probably didn't help that we let them sit on Laura's desk for two days, with intermittent bouts of carving. ;-)

Still, though, they practically imploded. It was as if someone had poured water on them and then punched their tops. The sides spit and it was quite sad. All this within a week! I'm never buying pumpkins from the Episcopalians again. :-(

That really is an excellent pumpkin. You have ninja skills and I am impressed. :D

In other news, omsdjkhsdaj you'll really like the third episode of Torchwood (I think). The show just keeps getting better and better. I guess some people aren't as fond of it as I am so far, but hey, as far as I'm concerned, Captain Jack wins over most things.

Thanks. :D

I'm probably not as fond of it as a lot of people are, but it's still rather entertaining. I mostly like it because of Captain Jack, obviously. He's fun.
