The super-lame song The Hustle started playing in my head. I am relatively certain that even though D is only one year younger than I am, he did ( Read more... )

High five! ^5!!!

It's a very sensible and clever icon indeed. (I won't say serious for fear of upsetting dear Severus, of course.) I don't know where it came from, but I do like it.

The song is insidious.

LOL! I don't remember the hustle, but I do remember rollerskating to Bay City Rollers when I was in first grade.

Ah, the 70's. Gotta love em.

Hey, I still have my awesome disco skates! Still fit, too! The ones that look like blue sneakers with 3 white reflective stripes on the sides. *hee*

Yes, it just gets more and more incriminating. I have Shaun Cassidy albums, too. And my favourite shows were The Love Boat and Fantasy Island.

Thank goodness I was saved by the 80s in high school.

OMG! I had those skates! I loved those! Fantasy Island gave me nightmares, so I wasn't allowed to watch. :P

I had a Rick Springfield album. How's that for cheese?

They were totally the best skates ever. It's been too long since I went skating!

I can see where Fantasy Island would have that effect on you...

Hey I had Rick Springfield albums & 45s, too. But that was the 80s. Total cheese. I used to ditch out of my one o'clock class, too, so I could see him on General Hospital. Heh.

Pf. Don't pretend you could totally escape the Bee Gees and Heatwave and ABBA playing everywhere all the time like demented Christmas carols. They were impossible to avoid.
