Mark Frost (X-Files, Fantastic Four...that guy) has just signed a contract for a YA trilogy. First book is going to be called...The Paladin Protocol. Seriously. Now that's going to confuse a few folk when they google it...

LOL!

I've heard the old writers' bit about there only being so many plots, but you'd think there were a few more titles.

If it starts out with a nerdy genius getting a sword, I'm officially freaking out.

I just have this vision of all these people searching for this guy's work, and wondering why the hell they suddenly have nutters in fake armour and random movie spoofs instead...

I know, right? One minute you'll be searching for a kid's book by a respected screenwriter, the next minute you'll have Darth Cooper.

Well if the story starts with Xena-like woman and scary-nerd man... beg royalties?

Didn't he also co-create Twin Peaks?

Its seems more Percy Jackson than your Paladin Protocol, no need to really worry. You might even gain a few fans, then become famous and asked to write for Big Bang Theory.

Here's hoping.

Yeah, that's the man. (And this is a kid's book? Heh.)

Hadn't found out anything more than the title coincidence, which just amused me. :) The idea of someone looking for literature and stumbling into my brainspace instead.

I doubt Lorre or Prady would ever want me near their little creation, on the basis of a certain... incompatibility of vision re character development. I gave up watching at the end of Season 3 :(

(I would, however, maim for the chance to work with Whedon or Moffat.)
